Join us for a virtual workshop Monday, April 11th, 1pm-2pm
If you are someone looking for employment who may have personal history that could cause a potential employer to have concerns- the Federal Bonding Program (FBP) may be a tool that could make the difference in whether you receive a job offer. If you have had previous experiences such as: a felony or misdemeanor conviction, incarceration, gaps between periods of employment, a dishonorable military discharge, poor credit, bankruptcy, or a history of substance abuse and you are having difficulty finding employment, you will want to learn more about the FBP.
This webinar will:
• Provide an overview of the FBP including who is eligible
• Identify what a Fidelity Bond is and what it can provide to a business
• Explain the process for becoming bonded through the FBP
• Allow you to hear from two Local Bonding Coordinators from our Career Centers who assist job seekers with obtaining bonding through the FBP
For participants with disabilities, if you require any reasonable accommodations to participate in the event, please notify the Employee Development and Growth through Education (EDGE) Office at least 72 hours prior to the event at labor.sm.training@labor.ny.gov. The EDGE Office will make every reasonable effort to secure an accommodation that will meet your needs.
