Hospitality Coordinator

WorkSmart Coworking and Meeting Space (WorkSmart) is a people-focused coworking community in downtown Glens Falls. Our mission is to foster a purposeful community where freelancers, small business owners, and entrepreneurs forge meaningful connections, fulfill their professional needs, and support one another’s growth. Our intentionally designed workspaces are optimized for members’ productivity and cater to different work styles.


WorkSmart Coworking and Meeting Space is looking for a vibrant, motivated individual to work in a collaborative environment offering a consistently high level of customer service as a Hospitality Coordinator.  This year-round position is an even mix of receptionist duties, community engagement, and facilities management. Candidates must be available for part-time, in-person work (15-20 hours per week), Monday through Friday. Future opportunities for increased hours may be available. Pay is based on experience and individual contributions, starting at $18/hour with opportunities for increased compensation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Welcome members and guests with a warm smile, ensuring a consistently delightful hospitality experience
  • Create an amazing customer journey experience for WorkSmart Members including member introductions, onboarding assistance, resolving any related issues, and facilitating member interactions to foster community connections
  • Grow the WorkSmart community by creating and implementing outreach, lead generation, sales conversion strategies, giving tours, and selling memberships
  • Develop programming to enhance members’ businesses and raise awareness of WorkSmart’s offerings
  • General administration and marketing tasks including newsletter contributions, blog posts, and social media management
  • Ensure the workspace is clean and well-maintained; allowing members to feel pride in bringing their clients and investors into our space
  • Enthusiastically represents the WorkSmart brand by continually educating the region about coworking and the numerous benefits it brings to individuals, businesses, organizations, and the economic growth of our region


Experience and Qualification Requirements:

  • Be a charismatic individual and a friendly relationship builder with customer-facing experience in the hospitality sector
  • Possess strong communication skills and a practical understanding of marketing, ensuring adherence to brand standards and guidelines across all communication channels
  • Possess the ability to think outside the box to foster creativity and leverage opportunities
  • Posses a practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with a willingness to learn new software applications and technologies
  • Possess good business knowledge, including a practical understanding of business management and record keeping
  • Have great attention to detail and the ability to create systems and processes
  • A minimum of an associate degree is preferred
