Studio Associate/Lead

We are located along the Hudson River, in North Creek, NY, about 30 minutes from Lake George at 21 Railroad Place, North Creek, NY.  We are a busy, publicly accessible hot shop, offering a broad selection of Make Your Own Experiences, a glass art and craft Gallery & custom glass art designs.  We operate seasonally from Memorial Day Weekend through the end of September.

This position of Studio Associate/Lead could lead to more year round work at our location in Arizona and/or working in logistics, remotely managing online sales.  This is a Studio Associate position and can become a Studio Lead position with more duties.  The main duties are to maintain and facilitate sales in the store/gallery, handle admin correspondence via email, phone and some social marketing, package glass class and purchased projects. Having basic design experience with the adobe suite is a major plus.

Wages: $15/$20

Schedule: Part Time/Full Time.  Seasonal position starting mid June – End of September, with the possibility of more. Hours can vary based on applicants availability

Basic Duties:
Gallery- sales, stock/maintain
Admin- front desk- in person/phone/email “reception”
graphic design – not required, preferred
Logistics- shipping, stocking/inventory

Customer Service
-Laid back and sophisticated demeanor
-Ability to handle/process sales efficiently
-Experience with any POS system is good, willingness to learn is great

Shipping
-Ability to lift 55 lbs
-Must keep supplies stocked and ordered

General Maintenance
-Dusting, cleaning, protecting products
-Must be able to both take direction and initiate duties as needed
-Assemble order of needed materials

Time Management
-Balance time sensitive shipping deadlines and customer service
-Ability to retain newly learned operations
